The advantages of the ThermaPure process are:

Convenience - The ThermaPure process typically takes 8 hours or less, thereby eliminating the need for the occupants to move out of the structure for multiple days. Weather and other factors can influence the treatment time.
Versatile - ThermaPure can be used to treat either the entire structure or smaller areas of the structure. By treating only the areas of infestation, cost factors can often be reduced, especially in larger structures. The ability to treat large areas instead of spots makes this the most effective way to treat individual infestations. Since no chemicals are used it is not necessary for occupants to move out of the structure for several days while we are treating various areas of the building. However, during actual treatment it is recommended to vacate the structure.
Less Damage to Roofs and Plants - In most situations roofs do not need to be covered thus eliminating walking on tile roofs and causing the type of damage associated with fumigation. Plant damage that is unavoidable with fumigation can often be avoided.
Non-chemical - Many people prefer the non-chemical aspect of our treatments, especially in the case of people with illnesses, allergies, pregnant mothers, infants or chemically sensitive people.

Effectiveness:
Other than fumigation, no other form of drywood termite treatment is as effective as the ThermaPure process. Other treatment techniques such as chemical drill and treat, microwave, electrogun, or freezing are only spot treatments. Our ability to treat large sections, which totally encompass the entire gallery system of the termites, leads to a higher success rate than any other method. The combination of treating large sections of the structure as opposed to spots and the verification of kill provided by our temperature probes ensures a higher success rate than any of the other methods.

Sanitizes Building Interiors:
Not only are there no harmful residues associated with this process, heat indeed has a cleansing effect. The temperatures used in our ThermaPure process are beneficial in reducing odors, allergens, asthma triggers and the like. Even though we don't totally sterilize homes, the heat process is helpful in cleansing the home environment. Heat is also useful in eliminating "sick building syndrome" where harmful chemicals such as VOCs are being emitted into the air that occupants breathe.

Common Wall Structures can be treated:
ThermaPure is especially beneficial in treating condominiums, apartments and commercial properties. The ability to thoroughly treat one entire unit and not displace or inconvenience neighboring units is unique to our process and gives us a major advantage over all other termite control methods. Like fumigation, we can treat the entire structure or we can do area treatments, which are like mini fumigations. We section off a portion of the building and treat just that area but without having the homeowner vacate the building. Area heat treatments are very convenient. In many cases these area treatments are an economic advantage to the customer. Some of the areas we commonly treat in homes are attics, garages, patios, exterior walls, and individual rooms. The advantage to this type of treatment over typical spot treatments is the size of the area treated. For example, if there is an infestation in the window we don't just treat that spot but we treat the entire wall and perhaps the section of sub area or attic adjacent to that area of infestation. Termite gallery systems can be quite extensive.

By treating large areas we insure elimination of the entire colony.
