Overview
Green pest control systems Protect the landscape environment from insect pests primarily through the use of biological and cultural practices such as habitat management; beneficial organism releases; sanitation; and timing. Some natural substances, such as botanicals and a few synthetic pesticides (low-impact) are permitted when used according to certain restrictions. Those pesticides must have active ingredients that typically are non-synthetic, and all inert ingredients must be non-synthetic or classified as being inert products of minimal concern.
In this health-conscious age, many of our customers are concerned with adding chemicals to their home and landscape environment. At Corky’s, we assess each homeowner’s pest situation and then use the least harmful treatment (to man and his environment) to provide the most effective solution to the pest control problem. Most of our services involve low-impact formulations (defined as “those that are of reduced risk to humans and pets”), but for our most concerned customers we can also offer botanical treatment services (some considered as “minimum risk”).
Our technicians can perform these quality green services for both your home and landscape. Be aware that there is no totally “safe” pest control product–you, your children, or pets could be allergic to the plants that some botanicals are derived from, or react for other reasons.
